Australian and New Guinea Rainbow fish are hardy, energetic fish that are suited to most tropical community aquariums. Several of the species can live in cooler climates such as the Crimson Spot Rainbow and Pacific Blue Eye. Australian Native fish, excluding rainbows, tend to be larger and more aggressive.

Grows to: 4-12cm (Rainbows) 40cm-<100cm (Native Predatory Fish)
Diet: Omnivores - Tropical pellets/flakes (Rainbows),
Carnivores - carnivorous pellets, Live Food
Temperature: 22-30 °C
pH: 6.0-8.3
Temperament: Peaceful (Rainbows), Aggressive (Native Predatory Fish)
Compatibility: Suited to community aquariums with Live Bearers, Gouramis,
Danios, Rasboras and Catfish. Native Predatory Fish are usually aggressive and should be kept with similar species.
